2017 New Holland Genesis T8 Series Tier 4B for sale in Dixon Tractor Company, Blackshear, Georgia

Our Story

Dixon Ford Tractor of Blackshear Ga. was established in 1961 after acquiring Blackshear Ford Tractor, a 15 year old established tractor company, which takes the company linage back 75 years. Walter Dixon and Arch Dixon (cousins) were the founding owners and operators of the company. The first building was downtown Blackshear, where the Comfort Inn sets today. Walter and Arch decided to build a bigger improved facility to better serve their expanding customer base. In 1967 the company was moved to the current location, 3294 Hwy 84 West. In 1975 Arch's son Walker Dixon came on board and helped further expand the business. Upon Arch's retirement in 1985 Walker and his wife Ann became co owners along with Walter and wife Jeanette. Walter's son Mark started with the company in 1987 and Walter (Wally) L Dixon Jr came on board in 2006. Between 1987 and Walkers retirement in 2008, son Randy and daughter Lee Ann also worked to improve the business. Upon Walkers 2008 retirement his and wife Ann's share was purchased by Walter and Jeannette. Mark and Wally Dixon acquired majority ownership in 2014 and own/operate the business today.

In 1991 the company name was changed to Dixon New Holland Tractor Company following Ford / New Holland being sold and took on the New Holland name.

Through the years Dixon Tractor has represented dozens of various manufactures including Bush Hog®, W.R. Long Inc., KMC, Taylor Way and many more. In 2007 our company took on the Badboy zero turn mower line, and Mahindra Tractors in 2008.
